 Struggle for Independence

The brave-hearted started raising their voice,

Against the colonial rule which they didn’t rejoice.

They wanted a united nation

This obligation was more than an inspiration.

They revolted and were put behind the bars,

Although it didn’t reduce the fire of freedom in their hearts.

Everyone had different ideas for freedom,

The struggle was more violent than Antietam.

Nothing could bring their spirit down,

Not the Rowlatt Act or the tragic Jallianwala in Amritsar town.

It just made their rage proficient.

Finally, they succeeded in getting India independent,

And proved that they wouldn’t let anyone be a colonial rule descendent.

Mumbai is a city with a unique aura. I understood this when I shifted here for college. Mumbai is a fast-moving city and it is truly appropriate to call it the city of dreams. Not So Sweet Sixteen!

  Life's an adventurous journey. You can't tell what comes your way. It's unpredictable. Seriously, I never imagined growing up. Liked my life the way it was. In fact, loved it.   I turned sixteen on 10th May. I just don't understand what's so sweet about turning sixteen. It feels the same as fifteen but with a bit more responsibilities and a hint of madness. Why do people make growing up such a big deal even though it feels quite great? You still miss those inane years when you could do asinine things without any good explanation. Well, life goes on to become complicated. However, it's fun. This topic has dual descriptions. Can't adhere to one. Simply bewildering.  If you think about it, when you are around 5 years old, you just want to grow up so that you can do whatever you want. I will share some things with you that I missed about school during the Corona time. I know it's a bit shocking, me saying I missed school even after some of my other arguments. However, like everything has two sides-good (which you miss) and bad, even school has a good side.  The thing that is amazing about school is the fact that we cannot recall the homework the teacher gave us an hour ago but we sure do remember the fun we had a month ago when the same teacher was absent. Also, enjoying the little moments of having to talk to each other when the teacher is not looking, all the sports periods, sometimes even getting late for assemblies🥁 and talking during the boring speeches, the whole class feeling sleepy in the history period and looking at one another to ask the time left for the lunch break.  The most hilarious event that takes place in the class would be when the teacher (especially the science or mathematics teacher) announces a surprise test.  I am sharing my very first poem with you guys. I wrote it when I was in 4th standard. No wonder it's about toys.😜 Can  we  survive  without  toys I have a bag of gold, But my toys are sold.   Now what should I do,   My mother said, “Wear your shoe”. I don’t have any toy,   but I’m full of joy.   I want to play,   but my father said, “You should make something from clay”. I want a toy,   but my father bought me a car.   I said, “I’m not a boy”.   Then my father took the car to the bar. I needed a toy,   but my teacher said that, “We can survive without toys”. Then the teacher said that she would help me to buy a toy,   but the president told to ban the toys.

It's not a Guessing Game!

Hey! I  know some people  with a problem that no one can pronounce their name correctly. Ask  me, I am one of them. I don't get it, what's wrong with these people. So, as you know my name is Reya, actually it's of Spanish origin.   I mean whenever it's the first day of school & the teacher is taking the attendance, I am totally ready. If the teacher says 'Riya', 'Rhea', 'Raya' or anything that's weird for a name, I just wait for a second if no one answers I come to know that it's my name for the rest of the year according to that teacher. It's not that I don't correct them. I can correct people for about 10 to 15 times & then I just loose it. When this starts annoying me even more, I just give up & then I don't care what they call me. RELIGIOUS HARMONY: A Realistic Dream

George Bush wisely said,  “In crucial things, unity. In important things, diversity. In ALL things, generosity.” We all have heard about both Hindu and Muslim harmony and differences. They exist because some people of a particular religion think that some things are being performed which are against their religion. Like arguments go on about eating meat. I believe that humans, animals and plants are like they belong to the upper class, middle class and the lower class respectively. You know, nobody eats humans. Well some people eat animals and animal products. But you can hardly find anyone who doesn’t eat plants. If we see, humans are being treated as if they belong to the upper class, animals of middle class and plants of lower class.
